Tankhouse movie project
As an artist, being an active part of your community is crucial. If you look, chances are you will find arts organizations in your area. I urge you to join them and get involved. When I moved to Fargo, ND, it was with the goal of getting my art career to the next level. After I got the lay of the land, so to speak, I joined the Arts Partnership and Fargo Moorhead Visual Artist groups. As a member of the Arts Partnership, they were kind enough to interview me for their social media platforms. As it so happened, the film "Tankhouse" was in the process of being made and moving their production to Fargo. Unbeknownst to me, the production designer for the film, Jen Messer, was looking for an artist to help design and create the mural that would become the front of the film's namesake theater. She found my interview with the Arts Partnership, saw my work, and asked if I'd be interested. We met and Jen told me what she had in mind. A few concept pitches later I had the gig. As an artist, the biggest part of getting people to see your work is getting your name out there...literally. By being a part of a community you'll meet others like you, inspire others, be inspired by others, learn, and build relationships essential for your own personal growth as an artist and as a person.
